Earthship: The Nautilus

Michael Reynolds Biotect

New Mexico

About the building:

The Nautilus is perhaps one of the most famous of the Earthship buildings. It can actually be rented out for periods of time to experience desert/earthship living. The plan is based on a double spiral/fibonacci series. It is entirely self sufficient and off the grid. All water is processed through a "living machine" type of aerobic cleaning system. PV and wind power provide electricity. The interior appointments are comfortable. The roof can be accessed and is clean surfaced to collect any rare rain that may fall.
