Turtle Mountain and the Frank Slide of 1903:
The pictures just don't do the immensity of this disaster justice. Even 100 years later, there is little or no vegation that has taken root in the mass of rock. Turtle mountain broke off, and within 90 seconds, covered half of the town with Frank under an enormous blanket of boulders. For more info, www.frankslide.com
