Coalbanks Pedestrian Bridge

Lethbridge, Alberta

Project Information:
The Coalbanks Pedestrian Bridge was built to keep pedestrian traffic along the long bridge that crosses the Oldman River, connecting Lethbridge with West Lethbridge. The steel construction was deemed to be the most efficient means to cross the river, with minimal environmental impact on the river. The railings are all galvanized square HSS tubes. The expansion joints are clearly visible in the images.
