Educational and Institutional Sustainable Buildings in Canada: |
Education buildings have been favoured by sustainable designers since early on in the movement. Many of the early experimental buildings were education motivated in their use as demonstration projects. Universities, in recent captial expansion, have chosen to create sustainable buildings. Given the long term tenure of these facilities, it has sometimes been motivated by economics, in terms of reduced operating costs, but moreoften, in the aim of setting a good example. |
