Brazil

The tale of Brazil is almost intirely seen through the eyes of Sam Lowry, the lowly business man, despite the fact that he does not narrate. In leu of this at the end of the film when he re-awakes in quasi-torture chamber we begin to doubt how much of the film actually happened or whether like in The Cabinet of Doctor Caligari this character has become an unreliable source of information. The film is very constrained by this first person perspective to almost clostrophobic proportions, because of this a sense of empathy with Sam is achieved, as is often the case in this style of storytelling
