In a completely different way, space is also manipulated in Renaissance 2054 in Ilona's virtual prison. The viewer is intentionally unable to understand whether Ilona is in a forest, a room, a dream or any real space at all. This results in the same confusion and uncertainty that Ilona faces in her captivity.
