C O N C L U S I O N Films are created very much based on how the human mind naturally reacts to visual images. There is an innate stubbornness of the human mind to see past what it already understands. In order to make sense of the world, the mind naturally makes conclusions based on the information stored within its memory. The course films cause tension with these natural reactions of the human mind. They use faces to play with what the mind believes is true, in order to create feelings of excitement or the uncanny. The filmmaker is able then, not only to control the elements within his/her film, but also an audience’s response.
