Building Massing and Orientation:
The difference in the design of the north and south orientations of the complex is quite apparent. Where the north view has adequate windows at both the lower and clerestory levels to provide for daylighting, the south elevation is dominated by large sloping roofs that provide the area for mounting the large photovoltaic array, as well as larger windows that can provide for passive solar heating.
