The final piece is lifted. The evergreen tree on top is symbolic of an accident free site.
Daniel Libeskind watches the steel go up. To his left is William Thorsell, CEO of the ROM; to the his right, Thore Garbers, Project Architect at Studio Libeskind; and at the rear, Walter Koppelaar of Walters Inc., responsible for steel fabrication and erection.
One of the ironworkers receives and places one end of the piece.
Once connected, the lifting hoist is let go and the steel is complete.
