Though she appeared almost completely human prior to taking the throne, through her destined purpose, she transforms into complete machine, losing nearly all characteristics of man. Duke Red’s plan to work alongside his robotic daughter has failed as she has become too powerful, unstoppable, and uncontrollable.
The extent of her transformation is evident through her loss of memory, human expression, and emotion. Her physical attributes transform as well through her fuse with the machine world. She begins to shed her thin human-like skin only to reveal and expose her mechanic bones beneath. This transformation only adds to her being in the uncanny valley.
Her relationship with Kenichi became discarded, forgetting who he was and their friendship. Kenichi, on the other hand, remains true to Tima, fighting to find the girl whom he first met from the burnt laboratory remains no matter what she is. He does not let go of her hand or his hope for her when she dangles hundreds of feet in the air in the Ziggurat even though she had been trying to destroy him. He sought to revive the human side of Tima, only to succeed seconds too late.
Tima is uncanny not only through her human-likeness as a robot, but because we become familiar with a gentle, innocent, and helpless girl. Her doubling as a powerful, aggressive, and destructive force is frightful as we no longer recognize the familiar being.
