Winter 2007 Graduate Level ‘Ambiances physiques’ (environmental controls in architecture) Studio/ Seminar

Thermal, Lighting and Acoustical Integration

Integration of thermal, lighting and acoustics in a single exercise. These illustrations correspond to each of the ambiences, at the design scales of the urban, architectural and detail.

Investigative Strategy

Use all tools and theories previously experimented throughout the semester. This final exercise is part of the seminar, but due at the design studio crit.

Evaluation Process
Final crit, discussing the integration and architectural relevance. Exercises are corrected by each by the studio “specialists” that also teach at the seminar.
