Green Architecture Analysis

Design Performance Objective

Green Architecture Analysis Studies

The form of the proposed project was dictated mainly by its green architecture considerations. The long façade is facing south allowing the passive solar energy to be collected by a Trombe Wall that at the same time performs as an acoustic barrier to prevent the noise of the train adjacent to the project. Moreover, a wind regime analysis was performed and its conclusions influenced greatly the layout and form of the project in order to allow the desired wind to flow into the project and to block the undesired ones, in such a way that thermal comfort is improved in both open spaces and the building. The roof of the building is sloped in order to allow rain catching and storage for internal use in the project.
