Contemporary Case Study Projects
A Detailed View of Several Current Projects
Many contemporary architects have created innovative approaches to detailing the connections on projects using Architecturally Exposed Structural Steel. Seven are profiled in this section of the website. Each project will include either a 3D PDF highlighting a "key detail" or "connection approach" for the building, or fabricators' drawings, as well as a second page of photographs highlighting close views of other significant connections used in the building.

These small case studies are not intended to be exhaustive, but simply provide the viewer with access to closer views than are normally available along with some commentary on how the connections were designed and what choices might have been made in terms of the selection of member types as well as bolting versus welding.
